TVR Classic Car Gathering: ‘Pre-80s’ Club
Meet owners and see the iconic motorsport design at the TVR Car Club ‘Pre-80s’. It’s at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTCH) from 10am to 4pm on Sunday 17th September.
Adult entry will be £2.00 each with children free. Organisers say they’re “expecting to bring along around 100 examples of the classic marque. This will mean that visitor parking will be limited on our site, so please accept our apologies if we cannot find you a spot on the day.”
Other attractions are expected to be open as usual!
Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre is one of Ruddington’s main visitor attractions. It’s a great place for a family day out with miniature railways, vintage buses, model railways and (usually) a full size standard gauge railway covering around nine miles (which is currently not operational, however).
It’s a great place for a day out because you’ll find “Nottingham Heritage Railway, Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS), Nottingham SMEE, Ruddington MRC, EMRT, Barnwrights & more.”
‘The Heritage Cafe‘ will be open 10am till 4pm serving hot and cold refreshments all weekend.
Weather and volunteers permitting, The Nottingham Society Of Model And Experimental Engineers Ltd will be open operating their excellent miniature railway and for a small fee you too can enjoy the ride!
NABS – Nottingham Area Bus Society Will be open 10am till 4pm all weekend for external viewing however, if you wish to get up close to the buses please ask a member of staff who will be only too pleased to give you a guided tour of the collection.
Ruddington Model Railway Club are open between 11am and 4pm all weekend so why not visit and view their models of the local area’s railway.
Also there’s The Heritage Cafe serving hot meals, snacks and drinks. It’s usually open at the weekends from 10am to 4pm (and also on Wednesdays).
Please note: You are advised to check NTCH events for details and cafe opening times, as activities may be subject to change (for example due to volunteers and/or the weather). Email nthcevents@gmail.com and it has a Facebook page. This event should be on NTHC’s Facebook page >>HERE<<.
